Whitecross Street Christmas Lights

On Friday December 7th, SoapBox were  invited to be part of the entertainment at the switching on of the Christmas Lights on Whitecross Street. A number of musicians and Djs joined this event, working with school children from Prior Weston to keep the crowd entertained on the chilly December evening.

It was wonderful to see so many local residents and Council representatives braving the elements to be part of this community event. And we very much enjoyed talking about our work and plans with Councillors Claudia Webbe, Troy Gallagher, Phil Graham and Matt Nathan. We even got to chat to the mayor and to invite him to visit SoapBox in 2019. We look forward to welcoming him in the New Year.

Thanks to Barry Causten for pulling this all together and to the young people from SoapBox for representing the centre in the local community.
